Medusa is a fascinating figure in Greek mythology, often associated with her petrifying gaze and snake-like hair. In myth, she was transformed by the goddess Athena into a terrifying monster whose gaze turned anyone who met it to stone. Medusa thus symbolizes the destructive power of the gaze and the power of perspective. <\/p>\n\n

It’s interesting how Medusa is only thought of in a negative way these days, and no one remembers the beautiful young woman she once was. That’s why Beatrice M\u00fcller designed a piece of jewelry in honor of Medusa. A cross depicting Medusa’s face, meant to convey the message: “What is the evil eye?” <\/p>\n\n

This ornate cross reminds us that the meaning of a gaze lies not in its nature, but in how we interpret it. Medusa may appear as a scary figure in mythology, but this piece of jewelry challenges us to question our perspective. It invites us to see Medusa’s gaze not as a threat, but as a metaphor for the power of self-reflection and understanding. <\/p>\n\n

The Medusa Cross encourages us to reconsider our judgment and view the world with open eyes and an open heart.
