Even in ancient times, people discovered that brass is a very special material. It is bactericidal, meaning that germs on the surface are actively reduced and cannot multiply. The word “antibacterial” certainly wasn’t known back then, but our ancestors applied it intuitively, for example.

As we age, we get wrinkles. As brass ages, it darkens. This depends on the composition of sweat, humidity, and how the piece is worn. We personally love the effect – it’s nice to see that the jewelry has a history. If you don’t like this, you can rub the label with a soft cloth and clean it in a 25% diluted citric acid solution.
