Free works
Beatrice Müller’s studio quickly rose from an insider tip to a favorite destination for jewelry lovers: The jewelry designer knows how to give her clients’ feelings and desires a unique—and often surprising—form. With the same sensitivity that Beatrice Müller displays in conversations with her clients, she explores everyday themes, which she creatively transforms into jewelry with a striking impact.
The interaction between jewelry, wearer, and the outside world is a central theme in her works. Her “antennas,” for example, were created after the events of September 11, 2001, and are symbols of interpersonal communication: sending and receiving signals, serving as a means of communication—jewelry as a medium.
Own laser work
Goldsmithing and jewelry design are handcrafted—but we also use the latest laser technology as a “tool.” Custom engravings and fine laser surface treatments make jewelry even more individual and sophisticated.
Lasers are also used in welding. Laser welding enables joints to be made without heating the metal with fire.
The light from the laser is focused onto a 0.2 to 0.3 mm spot using focusing optics. Due to the extremely high energy density, the material melts within seconds and a fine seam is created, which is smooth and almost invisible after polishing. This technique also contributes to the high quality of the jewelry from Beatrice Müller’s studio.
